STEP BY STEP Dance Center, Inc. & Jacksonville Dance Alliance

Step by Step Dance Center, Inc is proudly a member of the JDA (Jacksonville Dance Alliance). The JDA is a newly-formed constituency of Jacksonville-Area ballroom dance studios that have united in a cooperative effort to advocate and advance ballroom dancing as a whole. JDA will have the opportunity to offer a unique kind of confidence and exuberance to the full stratum of the community and will promote its' interest in individual, partner
and group dance, along with its physical and psychosomatic advantages. Stay tuned for more information about future projects!!!!!

OUR DANCE DIRECTORS

Dance Directors Richard Mathews and Linda Nichols are experienced instructors, performers, choreographers and accomplished dance competitors.

Mr. Mathews learn to dance when he was three in his native country of Puerto Rico and followed his dream to become a professional entrepreneur when he moved to the states. With a degree in Business Management and in Arts, Richard combined his education knowledge with years of dancing… from Ballet to Hip-Hop, from Salsa to Tango, and many others.

After teaching and competing in the National Ballroom Circuit for the past few years, Mr. Mathews embarked on his professional Ballroom career with his professional dance partner, Mrs. Nichols.

Mrs. Nichols is the Vice-President of JD Nichols Construction, Inc. a family business she has dedicated herself to for the last decade. Mrs. Nichols started dancing in 2005 and her passion for Ballroom dancing has transformed her life. After an intense year of National Competing, Mrs. Nichols decided that it was time to STEP above and to share her experience with everyone around her.
